Project description:

PepsiCo is using the BPS on Oracle do their COGS planning now, they plan to use the BPC on HANA to replace their BPS on Oracle i the future, a small proof of concept project is kicked off  this purpose.

Role: SAP BPC 10.0 on HANA Senior consultant.

Responsibilities/Deliverables

·   Design and create the data model for the COGS planning, which include dimensions, hierarchies and security strategy.

·   Configure and develop the  "TO" BPC input form/reports according to "AS" BPS layouts.

·   Apply the security strategy according to PepsiCo's global origination structure.

·   Create the script logic for the business logic calculation  according to the requirements.

·   Design and develop the BADI for BPC complicated calculation.

Project description:

Phase One, the client has implemented both consolidation and budget in BPC, but the result is not as they expected, they need a very senior BPC consultant to investigate the problems, fix them and make it can go live.

             Phase two include the upgrade from BPC 7.5 to BPC 10.0 and the new development

Phase three, Redesign the consolidation model and the new development for revenue planning and GAAP and Statutory reporting.

Role: SAP BPC Architect/Senior consultant.

Responsibilities/Deliverables

Phase 1: BPC 7.5 NW.

·   Redesign and configure the account dimension master data hierarchy and the properties according to the business reporting requirements.

·   Configure the business rules which include automatic adjustment ,carry forward, account calculation etc according to business requirements.

The purpose of this project is to establish the SAP Business Objects Planning and Consolidation tool (BPC) as the new consolidation and reporting tool for JPMC.  BPC will provide our JPMC               Entities with an efficient and functional platform to allow them to better meet their external               reporting requirements the project was start with BPC 7.5 NW and was upgrade to BPC 10.0 NW.

Role: SAP BPC Architect/Senior consultant.

Responsibilities/Deliverables:

 

·   Loading BPC dimension master data through BI infoobjects which consolidate the master data from ECC and properties reference data from flat file

The client need to implement the BPC 10.0 NW to replace their current budget planning system which include the following area: Finance Planning ,Human Capital Management Planning,

Capital Planning , Revenue Planning, and Expense Planning.

Role: SAP BPC Senior consultant.

Responsibilities/Deliverables:

·   Design and configure the model  according to the business requirements

·   Load master data and transaction data from ECC to BPC through SAP BW 7.3.

·   Design and configure the input schedules  which will allow the user to modify the master data properties  on flying.

·   Develop the dynamic input schedules for HCM which include new employee, transfer employee, employee status change, employee salary and benefit planning.

I had helped the client to implement the BPC couple of years ago, Lineage Power was acquired by GE after that. Therefore all the BPC budget and reporting application need to be modified to satisfy the GE standard in  BPC 10.0 M environment.

Responsibilities/Deliverables:

·   Redesign and develop the  reports so that the new BPC data can satisfy the GE financial reports which are generated by Cognos.

·   Redesign and create the Payroll application for the purpose of mass planning  automation.

·   Involved in Blue printing the consolidation and planning requirement, developed the project plan, Designed, Tested and supported the Business consolidation and planning requirements for implementation.

·   Design and develop the BI cube as the staging cube to load data from ECC and BAAN and then load them into BPC.

·   Design and create the data model for Consolidation, Ownership and rate application.

The client need to use the BPC 7.5 M to do the payroll planning, sales planning and OPEX planning, the payroll planning will be done at the employee level by cost center, the sales planning is done at the product and customer level, both payroll application and sale application data need to be pushed to Finance application for further planning and allocation at cost center and company code level. Project was originally started one year early but did not go life since it did not meet the client’s satisfaction.

BWI has acquired eight plants located globally from Delphi recently, a new system need to be developed for consolidation, planning and budget purpose. The financial reports will be converted to IFRS from the local GAAP by taking the convergence approach.The project includes implementation of BPC 7.5 NW and BOBJ which include Crystal report, Xcelsius, Webi and Universe to replace the Outlooksoft/BPC 5.0 system.

Responsibilities/Deliverables:

Phase 1, Focus on Consolidations.

·   Preparations for Consolidation which include requirement gathering and GAP analysis.

The client is implementing the BPC 7.0 M in its financial dept to replace the Excel as the new budget, planning and consolidation system. Kraton is a global chemical company which has branch and plants in over twenty countries. Each country uses its local currency for the transaction and has its own account systems. By implementation of the new BPC system, Kraton Polymers will make its financial consolidation and budget planning more smooth and accurate.

Responsibilities/Deliverables:

·   Requirement gathering from client’s super  user and financial controller.

Leading IP consultant in the client’s project to implement in NW2004s – Integrated Planning to replace the existing Hyperion for financial budget and planning under CO-PA of FI/CO.

Role: Lead IP Consultant/architect

Responsibilities/Deliverables:

·   Responsible for gathering planning requirements for Revenue, Expense, Statistics and Headcount processes which were realized by existing Hyperion applications.

·   Identifying gaps and risks that could affect performance of the system like review process, data locks, migration of Hyperion data and un-identified versions.

·   Developing detail technical design for all processes include characteristic relationships, data slices, aggregate levels, filters, queries, functions and planning cubes design.

·   Implementation- responsible for implementing revenue, expense, statistics processes and headcount applications.

·   Design and develop the real time infoproviders and load it by using ETL from Hyperion system.

·   Documents prepared from planning perspective - Blue print document, Project high level plan, Implementation plan, Process flow documents and detail technical design document.

·   Design and develop the characteristic relationship, aggregation level, filter, functions, planning sequence by using of Data modeler.

·   Design and develop the input-ready query to replace the corresponding forms in Hyperion by using query Designer.

Project Description:

Work as the Only SEM consultant to help the client to upgrade the BW3.1, SEM-BPS 3.2 to SAP NetWeaver 2004s BI 7.0 and Prototype the IP of BI under FI/CO.

Role: Lead BI/SEM Consultant/architect

Responsibilities/Deliverables:

·   Identify the GAP between the two versions and modify the application with the new feature to make sure the applications working correctly.

·   Intensive testing of the existing applications in the newly upgraded environment.

·   Test, remediate and troubleshooting existing BPS application and reports.

·   Implement the new authorization strategy.

·   Customized the Standard web application generator.

·   BPS application migration from 3.2 to NetWeaver 2004s

Project Description:

·   Work as the principal solution consultant to help the client to implement the BPS from BI 7.0  to replace the master cost budgeting and allocation and procurement system for PLM. Both BW-BPS and BI IP has been used in global and country application.

Role: Lead BW/SEM Consultant/architect.

Responsibilities/Deliverables:

·   Identify the business requirements and develop the proposed solutions demo to the top management within a very short period.

·   Data flow architect and modeling.

·   Analyses the DVD manufacturing process and develop the corresponding BPS application data flow under different title type, format and component type.

·   Design and develop the data planning and lock strategy by using user exit in data slice.

·   Improve the layout running time performance by using the exit variables in both data column and WIB.

·   Design and develop the multiple line checkbox in the layout in order for the user can run a function for multiple records.

Project Description:

·   Work as the only principal solution consultant to help the client to implement the SAP BW-BPS  to replace the  Hyperion  for budget and planning purpose under FI/CO and HR.

Role: Lead BW/SEM Consultant/architect, major know-how resource for all in-house employees

Responsibilities/Deliverables:

·   Scope of business requirements and corresponding solutions.

·   Data flow architect and ETL from Hyperion to BPS.

·   Conduct an extensive research and demo to help the advisory committee to understand the BPS’s functionality.

·   Help the project management term for the implantation plan by identify the customized effect from the standard BPS functions.

·   Data modeling according to the business requirements and proof of the concept of special business requirements such as multiple loading, master data change after the budget planning kick off.

·   Design and develop the BPS Infocubes to integrate the data from HR,FM,PS models and  make it can satisfy all the business requirements which include planning, budget, forecast, budget modification etc.

Work as the leading consultant in the client’s BW 3.5,SEM 4.0 implementation project mainly focus on EC-PCA module.

Role: Lead BW/SEM Consultant/architect.

·   Identify the GAP between old version and the latest version for the BW and SEM.

·   Design and develop the Commerce Excellence Cockpit through the using of SEM-BPS,SEM-CPM and SAP Portal.

·   Test the existing applications to make sure them are working correctly under BW 3.5 and SEM 4.0 after the working environment’s upgrade.
